What is changing?
Springer Nature is updating the encryption certificate used by the nature.com Service Provider (SP) for SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
This update is part of our regular security maintenance.
Why is this change necessary?
To maintain best security practices, we are rotating our SAML certificate. This change will affect the trust relationship between your IdP and our SP.
What are the key dates?
New Certificate Available: April 27, 2026
Old Certificate Retired / Final Switchover: June 30, 2026
What action is required?
Please update your IdP configuration to trust the new certificate before the final switchover date to avoid any disruption in SSO functionality.
Note: If your IdP automatically updates SP metadata, no action is required.
