Select the right licence for your data

Where data are freely available online, we recommend a licence that enables the maximum potential for reuse, such as the Creative Commons CC0 public domain dedication waiver. Application of additional conditions (for example, non-commercial or share-alike) may have unforeseen effects, such as stopping users combining your dataset with other data that have different licences, or preventing companies using your data to develop beneficial products.

Springer Nature does not claim intellectual property rights for datasets connected to published papers. For more information, please email [email protected].
