AdisInsight’ s definition of a small molecule

We define drugs as small molecules if their molecular weight is less than 800 Daltons.

We don't follow Lipinski's rule of 5 strictly because we find that many companies these days consider their drugs to fall into the small molecule category when they have molecular weights above that of 500 Daltons which is a criteria of Lipinski's rule of 5.
